Description/Blazon
A gold colored metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall on a buff disc, a stylized gold millrind and sword combined, the hand guard of the sword forming the locking bar of the millrind, detailed green, enclosed within a scarlet demi-annulet, the sword tip and pommel extending at top and bottom, inscribed with motto "STRENGTH IN UNITY" in gold letters at top.

Symbolism
The unit's motto, "Strength in Unity" is suggested by the millrind and sword and symbolizes the security, control, force protection, and support characteristics of the Group. The colors, buff and scarlet are the colors traditionally associated with Support units. The green bar refers to Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) and life support programs and compliance with environment ordnances. Gold denotes excellence.
